Laser Acne Treatment

J'Adore Medispa and Rejuvenation Centre offers this very effective treatment to reduce and treat cystic and gender specific acne before scars develop. Mild, moderate, and some severe acne conditions can safely and very effectively be treated with IPL laser treatments. Our doctor combines prescription topical ingredients (occassionally Isotretinoin, Retin-A, Hydroquinone, Salicylic acid, Kojic acid etc.) to prime the skin prior to commencing laser treatments. This improves the skin's ability to kill the bacteria and heal from the acne pustules.

How Does the Laser Treat Acne?

The specific laser light wavelength gets absorbed into the red acne, coagulating the tissue (shrinking), and kills the bacteria known to contribute to acne with each session. Near painless, extremely safe results with a small series of laser treatments. This is a great treatment option for teenagers and young adults with mild to severe acne.

How Safe Are the Laser Treatments?

No treatment concerns have been ever noted at J'Adore Medispa with this therapy.

When Will I See Results?

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it only treat face acne?

No. Acne laser treatment can be used on almost every type of acne. This acne can be on your back, chest, face or any other part of the body. The additional benefit of this treatment is that it not only works on acne breakouts, but can even treat the scars brought about by the acne.

How many sessions are required?

The sessions of treatment also depend on the intensity of acne. Normal acne might require three to five sessions to treat it completely while intense acne cases might need eight to ten sessions.

Does this treatment harm my skin?

Laser works on the lower surface layer i.e. the dermis section of the skin. Hence it does not leave any signs of treatment on the upper layers of the skin. It is a myth that laser beams damages the skin and results in dry and unhealthy skin. The advancements in laser technology see to it that any area of your skin other than the affected part should not be exposed to the effects of the laser.
